Thomas P. Baker Obituary
Thomas P. Baker, 54, of Kirkwood, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Lancaster General Hospital.
He resided his entire life in Kennett Square, PA until moving in 2021 to Kirkwood, PA. Tom was a graduate of Kennett High School.
He was employed at Walton Water Service for the past fifteen years as a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator.
Tom was infamous for being a practical joker and was always quick witted with his corny Dad jokes. He would like to perfect his perfectionism especially when it came to the Christmas Tree. Tom also enjoyed gaming, poker and was an active member of New London Gun Club. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Papi especially always enjoyed bantering with the guys.
Tom was the loving husband of Amy Baker (nee Chandlee). He was a devoted and amazing partner for over 12 years where they enjoyed playing 500 Rummy, quizzo, watching Wheel of Fortune, exploring the outdoors during road trips but most importantly being each other’s best friend.
Tom will be extremely missed by all but especially by Emerson Cook as he was her favorite person.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; daughter, Hailey Chandlee; fur-son, Waylon “little man”, brother, James Baker (Barbara); and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Samuel and mother, Catherine Elizabeth Lynch Baker.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 25th from 10:00-11:00 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, PA then immediately followed by his services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Parent Heart Watch at parentheartwatch.org.
Arrangements are being handled by the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Oxford, PA. On-line condolences may be made at
